Horse Project Update

I have an update on the horse. It’s head is mostly finished. The ears need work. So far, I’ve done a good job with the hair. Hair is normally hard, along with anything that lacks detail because changing the shade correctly takes a lot of work.

Building Popsicle Mansion Time Lapse – YouTube

If you have time, watch this. While browsing YouTube, I came across this amazing video. A 16 year old built this mansion from 8,000 Popsicle sticks. He started when he was 14 and finished when he was 15. Very impressive

Horse Project Update

Today, I will finally start the horse project. The Mystery Project is done! …But I can’t share it yet. It will remain a mystery to all but the requester until it’s revealed. No more can be said. Except that it isn’t long before I show it. Anyway, I’ll keep things updated on the horse!

Cartoons Coming! Mystery Project

So I’ve been doing a bit more drawing for Becky Ottinger. However, this time I’ve been working on the computer. So I will post not only pictures of the finished, but also, a couple videos. I used the HyperCam screen recorder to take the videos. I’ll need to find a to speed up the videos. Some skip around because once or twice I would forget to resume recording after getting off task. Anyway I’ll edit them soon and upload them when I can. also, I’m continuing the mystery project but the unveiling wont be for another month or so.

Horse Drawing Project

Hey guys! This news I’m sharing is a little old now. But anyway, I’ve got a new project on my hands. My sister rides horses often. Last Saturday, she requested that i come to take photos and a video of her while she cantered. I’ll post the video later if she lets me. Anyway, her riding instructor, Becky Buchanan started talking to me while molly finished getting her horse ready and mounting it. She asked me about my summer. I mentioned the job I was doing at the camp last week. We kept talking and I told her what kind of art I was good at. So she requested a portrait of her horse, Smoke. I would do the drawing in graphite.  I’m going to update it often so stay tuned for photos.

Joshua Center

Ok, so it’s been a long week. I spent the past 7 days at the Rotary Youth Camp in Jacomo, Missouri. I was working staff for the Joshua Center for Neurological Disorders as the water-boy. However, one thing led to another, and soon I was the camp artist! Becky Ottinger, the head of the operations, asked me what I wanted to do after high school. I mentioned that I was an artist. I let her visit my website and for about the next twenty minutes, I was watching the reactions of other counselors to my art. From that point, I became the camp artist.

Becky now has me drawing dragons for her board games which she will be marketing to counselors and similar organizations dedicated to teaching social skills. There will be a few board games. Each is attributed about 6 sets of “situation cards” (basically they say, “what would you do if…”). There are categories on hygiene, personal space, bullying, you name it. I have a bunch of sharpied concept drawings for the board games which Becky’s co-worker, Jack Kammert will turn into vector images and colorize.

I also have a set of drawings for a story called,”Zac the Zookeeper”. Another one of Beck’s co-workers, Sarah wrote this story, so that was on my list of things to illustrate. So I have a HUGE collection of drawings of dragons and zebras to scan so I’ll have to find at least 2.5 free hours to do that.

So I’ll get back to you all with that within a few days! And all of the above means expanding and spreading of the word about my art! Which means more business.

Big Art Project

Finals ended Wednesday! Hard to believe they were only 4 days ago. Anyway, I’m starting a couple new projects. The first is for a big occasion, done in graphite on 14×17 paper but I can’t say anything more about it. It’s a surprise!

Then next drawing is of a dog named Precious. This was requested by a Deviant, M-Bae on DeviantArt

I will draw this on 14×17 paper in graphite.

Upcoming Art

It’s been so long! All this week I haven’t found any time for updates. Studying for finals has kept me very busy. My last final is on Wednesday and then I’ll be a junior! Anyway, regarding art, I haven’t gotten much done lately. I’ve made almost no progress on the cat. However, I’ve added a lot to the “Dog Named Peaches” drawing. I moved the eye down a tad bit but it’s looking great. The original is from the DeviantArt user, littlebear1337 and this is the photo.

Still Can’t Trust Anyone – Really?

So if you read my recent post, you’d know that an “artist” copied (stole really) my art. They used a WIP version of my Dodge Dart entry. They called it their own. A friend on DeviantArt helped me sort out the first problem of copied works. Just yesterday he notified me that a digital entry had been submitted using my art. I checked and found that my drawing was really the only part of the submission that really had to do with the Dart.

So I reported it under “my work used” and “permissions issue”. The could have asked at least. I would have said no because it’s a contest. And if my dart was the main part of his entry, thats more of my work than his.

I’ll post some upcoming art info maybe tonight.
