Drawn with MICRON
~3 hours of work
This last September, the Joshua Center for Neurological Disorders held the 29th annual PorkOut auction dinner. I entered another drawing of a pig into the auction, along with another “drawing of the highest bidder’s choice” and raised $100 more than last year. The pig raised $500, the other item raised $600 (split among two bidders). This totals $2100 dollars between 2012 and 2013! I’m glad to be helping the Joshua Center. Props to Becky Ottinger for all the hard work she has put into building up the organization and keeping it running smoothly. You can find out about her work here.
Hey guys!! I’m back. Now here are all the cartoon-style drawings I created at the camp. I’ll continue to draw for Becky.
Ok, so it’s been a long week. I spent the past 7 days at the Rotary Youth Camp in Jacomo, Missouri. I was working staff for the Joshua Center for Neurological Disorders as the water-boy. However, one thing led to another, and soon I was the camp artist! Becky Ottinger, the head of the operations, asked me what I wanted to do after high school. I mentioned that I was an artist. I let her visit my website and for about the next twenty minutes, I was watching the reactions of other counselors to my art. From that point, I became the camp artist.
Becky now has me drawing dragons for her board games which she will be marketing to counselors and similar organizations dedicated to teaching social skills. There will be a few board games. Each is attributed about 6 sets of “situation cards” (basically they say, “what would you do if…”). There are categories on hygiene, personal space, bullying, you name it. I have a bunch of sharpied concept drawings for the board games which Becky’s co-worker, Jack Kammert will turn into vector images and colorize.
I also have a set of drawings for a story called,”Zac the Zookeeper”. Another one of Beck’s co-workers, Sarah wrote this story, so that was on my list of things to illustrate. So I have a HUGE collection of drawings of dragons and zebras to scan so I’ll have to find at least 2.5 free hours to do that.
So I’ll get back to you all with that within a few days! And all of the above means expanding and spreading of the word about my art! Which means more business.

So I recently added my dodge dart drawing to my DeviantArt Deviations and to the contest. Every once in a while, I’ve been checking around the entries to see who else has a good chance.
Today, I found my own drawing (the incomplete version) copied and re-submitted by another Deviant. In the description, it said, “This is my art work”. Can you believe it?? And then I read some comments and one said, “daym, same picture i’m copying i think :L but i’ve cropped it so it looks a bit different
really like the unfinished look pretty neat “. Really?? You’ve got to be kidding!
So I reported the picture and made sure it was clear that the work was mine and had been stolen. Not even borrowed. STOLEN. And you definitely DON’T steal it from the kid who put hours into actually drawing it.
But still, I don’t know how they thought it would be a good idea. When they choose the winners, the winners are required to send in the real art.
So now, I see how risky it is just putting up full-quality or un-watermarked art. I’ll probably have to go through my posts downsizing the pictures to prevent re-use. That kind of thing angers me.
Anyway, tomorrow, I’ll be adding a few doodles and some upcoming art news. I’ve been really busy lately with sophomore finals in only two weeks. Is it just me or are they piling homework on?? Anywhoo, thanks for reading, like me on facebook. Follow for new art.
I’m totally leaning towards the right. It’s a no-brainer. I found this picture off of Wallbase.
I have a weekend school project of making a political cartoon on a world current event. It’s kind of a lucky project. I don’t often get drawing assignments or projects that involve art. Altough I didn’t have trouble drawing the cartoons, I had a hard time getting ideas. My dad suggested Obama carrying the Obamacare suitcase that was bringing him down, and I added the supreme court justice and the scanner.
Tell me what you think!
This is a collection of doodles I drew a month or so ago. These were all people I found flipping through my biology book. We all know Einstien (I sure hope so, anyway). Paul Cox is an ethnobotanist. I don’t know who the third guy was. Those two were just people I came across in the book. These were just for practice on drawing faces.
